Psychosomatic medicine in China has been forged from scratch for decades. Currently, the diagnosis and treatment mode for psychosomatic disorder has 7 types, namely, the psychosomatic medicine department establishment, medical union, multi-disciplinary team, discussion of difficult cases, psychosomatic network consultation, introduction of psychosomatic disorders specialists to joint ward rounds, and Sunshine Hospital. In the future, professionals in psychosomatic medicine should take the establishment of psychosomatic medicine with Chinese characteristics as their own responsibility and make efforts in the integration of treatment mode, improvement of software construction, protection of ward environment, promotion of the stage mode of residential treatment and explicit personnel composition, training, and practicing scope.
