The Sino-German Psychotherapy Consecutive Training Program, also named the Sino-German course, was the earliest long-distance, consecutive psychotherapy training program between China and Germany. On the occasion that the founder of the Sino-German course, Margarete was shortlisted for the Shanghai Magnolia Silver Award, the author elaborated his first encounter with the Sino-German course, and introduced in detail the unique mode of the course and the mutual growth it brought. From the time of participation in the Sino-German course to that he took part in the course and worked as the instructor from China, the author felt that he had a fruitful gain. At the same time, he hoped that his experiences and understanding could enlighten the psychotherapy practitioners and encourage each other.

Margarete Haaß-Wiesegart has formed connection with the work of psychotherapy in China since the pursit of her study in Peking University in the 1970s. For this reason, she and other German specialists collaborated with the Chinese experts including Wan Wenpeng to co-found the Sino-German Psychotherapy Consecutive Training Program and the German-Chinese Academy of Psychotherapy. Relying on this program, a large quantity of professionals were nurtured for the field of Chinese psychotherapy. In the past decades, she consistently spared no effort to advance the program, which promoted communication in the field of psychotherapy between China and Germany, and helped enhance the professional level of Chinese counterparts. Margarete’s contribution to the Sino-German Psychotherapy Consecutive Training Program since the 1980s is tremendous and irreplaceable.

Objective:This paper aims to explore the influence of adult attachment on psychological stress, as well as the mediating effect of self-criticism.
Methods:Using the cluster sampling method, college students in Harbin, Taiyuan and Nanjing area were selected as subjects. The Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory (ECR), the Self-critical Subscale of Depression Experience Questionnaire (DEQ) and the Stress Distress Scale were used to conduct the questionnaire survey. Descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediating effect test were performed on the collected data.
Results:A total of 1,250 questionnaires were issued and 1,160 were recovered, with a recovery rate of 92.8%. After the invalid questionnaires were eliminated, the effective questionnaires were 1,108, with an effective rate of 88.6%. The main results are as follows: (1) adult attachment has a positive predictive effect on psychological stress (F=42.998, p<0.001) and is positively correlated with self-criticism (attachment avoidance: r=0.175, p<0.01; attachment anxiety: r=0.545, p<0.001) and psychological stress (attachment avoidance: r=0.141, p<0.01; attachment anxiety: r=0.356, p<0.001). (2) Self-criticism partially mediates attachment anxiety and psychological pressure, and the mediating effect accounts for 60.5% of the total effect.
Conclusion:Adult attachment can not only directly affect psychological stress, but also affect psychological stress via self-criticism.

Objective:With the empirical study method, the paper combined the theory of positive psychology and the practice of group counseling, and studied the effect of group counseling based on positive psychology to freshman students’ mental health, which will enrich the theory and practice of university mental education.
Methods:In this study, students in the class of 2018 of the School of Humanities of Beijing Forestry University were taken as the research subjects, and a 3 (an experimental group, a meeting simulation control group, and a no-treatment control group) × 3 (pre-intervention, post-intervention, and two months after intervention) multi-factor experimental design was adopted. Each of the 3 groups comprised 33 subjects, in which the experimental group and the simulated control group were given positive psychological group counseling and meeting intervention 8 times respectively, while the blank control group was not intervened. Life satisfaction scale and general well-being scale were used to test before, immediate after, and 2 months after interventions. All data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 so as to test the effect of group counseling.
Results:There were significant differences in life satisfaction (F=8.97, p<0.001) and general well-being (F=9.43, p<0.001) among the 3 groups after intervention. Furthermore, in the follow-up 2 months after the experimental intervention, it was found that there were significant differences in life satisfaction (F=10.38, p<0.001) and general well-being (F=9.46, p<0.001) among the three groups.
Conclusions:The student workers should pay attention to the ways and methods when they give psychological guidance to the freshmen. Considering the long-term effect, the designed positive psychological group counseling is a better choice.

There is an increasing number of scholars that show interest in spiritual power and study spirituality. Positive psychology scholars overemphasize rational behaviors of humans, yet ignore the nature of spirituality. Positive experiences are the trifles and spirituality is the essential. Unhappiness is not due to little positive experiences, but the weakness in spirituality, and little positive experience is often the result of slightly weak spirituality. Spirituality is an important source in searching for the positive forces of human beings. Valuing human life and self-worth and seeking a sense of control over life are closely linked to mental health and happiness. This article reviews spirituality and its related theoretical basis, and expounds on the important role of spirituality in positive psychology and even mental health. However, the prosperity of positive psychology focuses on the external positive effect and neglects the deep connotation of spirituality and culture, accounting for difficulties in the integration of body and mind. In the face of disasters (i.e. novel COVID-19, earthquake, and death), the spiritual meaning construction of people who experienced major life events is particularly important for helping them understand the major events that happened to themselves or their family members, promoting post-traumatic growth. Future research should focus on the spiritual foundation of mental health.

From the perspective of social cognition theory, this article reviewed and summarized the assessment of cooperative behaviors, the individual and environmental factors that influenced cooperative behaviors, and the effects of cooperative behaviors. Furthermore, it also critically put forward the possible future research directions.

One of the causes of anxiety disorder may be the attentional bias towards threat stimuli. Many studies have adopted attentional bias training to relieve anxiety. Although attentional bias training was widely used, the classic paradigm has not achieved good results. Therefore, people have developed some new methods on the basis of this method, and made various improvements in experimental materials, experimental paradigms, policy-making methods, and the number of trials. However, the existing study results of these new methods are not consistent. In the future, this research needs to be promoted in terms of brain structure, clear indicators, and the use of multiple technologies.

Brief family therapy is a long-established psychotherapy approach that has an indispensable place in the family therapy genre. In the 1960s, under the influence of communication theory, hypnotic therapy by Milton Erickson, system theory and cybernetics, and constructivism, brief family therapy established and developed a unique set of psychotherapy theories and methods, and made an important impact on the psychotherapeutic field and many other areas of the society. This article gives a brief introduction on this psychotherapy method from different angles like the theoretical basis, treatment approaches, current characteristics and effects of treatment, and development after introducing into China, in hopes of helping people better understand this family therapy genre and encouraging wider practice and research of it in China.
